This journal, a.k.a. ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) sphekiko is hereby discontinued. My former fic journal, a.k.a. dagas_isa is now my real journal.
There are two reasons for this: 1) It's more difficult to keep track of two separate accounts/friendslists, and I find that I'm on dagas_isa the majority of the time. 2) the other LJ is paid for.
No one who is on my friendslist now will be left out, except by request. There will be no unwanted drama. The journal will remain undeleted in case people ever want to see the old entries and wax nostalgic.
Also, there will be no more "Over and Out"s I think we'll all deal.

Christmas = Good. Muu had Christmas Eve off, as well as the day before Christmas Eve and the day after Christmas Eve. So there was actually time for relax and vacation. Muu has also discovered homemade eggrolls and seen the light. No point in talking about lewt. I got it and gave it, and it was good.
New Years = FFXI. Please forgive me. I am a dork. Muu and I spent it at the Archduke's palace "cybering" a.k.a. emoting a single kiss. While in real life we kissed and had gingerale. Fun. Excitement.
Grades = Got them, and they were all right. Even my half-assed "Stereotypes and Gamer project I did for Anthropology went over petty well." I should probably link it, or at least show the final project proposal to everyone. Because maybe for anyone who plays video games, it might be interesting, or at least laughable.
FFXI = Full on obsession again. Muu and I dinged 72 last night, which means I can now do teleports on my DRG/WHM. TerrorFairy is now an adolescent, and he's red, so he looks like one of those rubber chickens. We've also been doing missions and assaults with Kys, Mel, Ther, and sometimes Solly, and I'm having a lot of fun.
Icons = I am liking the fun of making little 100x100 pretties. And yes, I did make a place for them. ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif) icy_day_icons.
Stories = My writing has fallen to the way side, but last night I had this weird insomniac desire to write something for Axis. And so I did.

Reading my friends page helps me realize how exactly how far away I am from my friends. I miss you beyond words, yet I have no clue how to actually start our relationship again.
I'm also tempted to completely abandon this journal and just post fandom stuff with dagas_isa since most of my personal posts seem to be too negative to plague people with.

Dear Muusu,
I know how difficult and stressful the last month or so has been for both of us. And now... things are getting busy and our schedules are starting to diverge again. Yet, I love you. It's been more than a year already, and I still adore you, and live every day amazed that not only do you tolerate me, but seem to also have a genuine affection.
Really, I'm writing this to let you know that I'm thinking of you, and I love you, and I'm so grateful that you came into my life. And even with all the frustrations and despairs, just sitting down with you and joking you, and kissing you is the most awesome thing ever.

There are several things I need to do for school:
Worsheet.
Research Project.
Fieldwork.
Rewrite CW story.
Creative Writing response paper.
Study for Finals.
There are also several things that I need to do IRL:
Christmas shopping
Clean house
Work out
Do laundry
Call my Nan
But I am compelled to do the following:
Make more Icons: Bleach, FFXII, KH, Onitsuka Chihiro, and others.
Redo both my Icon theme and dagas_isa's.
Possibly make a new account/community just for me icons.
Get my SUPAR SEKRET (but not really) FFXI character to 10 on each one of her available jobs.
Write smut.
Write other fanfic (but the smut comes first).
So umm... *hugs* and happy end of the semester to all the college studen peeps.

Rawr!
I have a cool teacher. Let's call him Tony. Now my class with Tony is small, four people. So Tony is very accomodating with what works best for the people in this class. Now... this means that last time we met and he wanted to set a tentative due date for the final project for tomorrow, I could mention that with the end of the semester crunch and the fact that I had a paper due the day before, that I could ask to push it back to next week, because it's the weekend that really matters. Tony is cool. Tony moves the paper back to next Wednesday. I can deal with this.
So fast forward to today. And suddenly there's a 5-10 minute presentation of our projects due tomorrow morning, which we are notified by e-mail (since Tuesday's class was cancelled) at noon today, that instead of doing the planned lesson, you know the one that we as a class chose when he very specfically gave us the choice between topics, we now have to prepare a presentation for something due next week.
So essentially the due date for a major project has been moved up a week. The day before it's due.
*does the whiny customer complaint*
I think students are entitled to a bit of notice before a due date is moved up. I'm glad that he is accomodating. Yet... I'm a bit panicked. And yes, I did send an e-mail telling him why I do not like this situation, and what I think would have mitigated the situation. I'm so going to fail this class.

Watching Skript in heat has a vaguely train-wreckish feel to it. Or like watching a spastic 'comedian' trying to put forth offensive humor. I have to watch, if only for a little while, even if it's embarassing and pathetic.
Only with the comedian I can't shout: "The (katana, shoe, strat guide, chair, etc.) isn't interested!" Of course, I can also turn off the comedian when it gets too much. Which is something that really can't be done with a yowling cat.

I'm back from break. Vacation had its drama, but it was something I needed, I think. Now if I didn't have a mountain of work to deal with.... eh....
All birthday stories will be postponed till probably final's week. Seeing as it's the most wonderfully busy time of the year end semester. Please forgive me.
Oh, oh, what else. After five months of not playing, I logged back into FFXI under my SUPAR SECRET (but not really) mule. Even now Muu is in the dunes levelling his Ninja. I'm going to stay off until work is done, so probably until Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or even beyond. Heh. Go fig. ^.^
I officially fangirl FFXII. Probably Balthier more than anyone, although Ashe gets the ultimate honor of being my spear weilder. I enjoy the fact that the main heroine in FFXII isn't a total paragon of feminine kindness. On behalf of all abrasive (dare we say, bitchy, girls), it's about the time someone who isn't a candidate for sainthood becomes the main girl. For that alone I am prepared to love Ashe.
Ahh what else... Muu has a job, so I think I'm going to have my 'fake birthday' on December 4th, and keep someone's wedding in mind. (No one any of you guys know, I don't think). Why not double joy where I can?

It's been awhile.
First, thank you Sabi and Jade. Sorry for not commenting earlier, but both of your arts are awesome, and both gave me a smile when I needed it most. *lovessnuggles*
Second, I am not in my happy place. Hence the lack of updates. My happy place does indeed include knowing that I'll have food, shelter, and interwebs for the next month. When that straightens out, this emo-kid will indeedy cheer up.
Third, I take that back. FFXII is my happy place right now. Maybe it's all the outside stress, but I'm fangirling Balthier (and probably annoying the heck out of muusu) like I haven't fangirled a character since Tasuki from Fushigi Yuugi. >.> Although this time it's without the pointless Mary Sue flut. See... I'm learning.
Fourth, I'm leaving for B-town on Tuesday, will be staying Wednesday, Thursday, and heading back here until Friday or Saturday.
Fifth, and most importantly, Happy Birthday jade_chan! *snugglehugs* IOU one ficlet about a subject of your choosing. ^.^ Here's hoping that you have a happy birthday and a most wonderful coming year.

Funny, even though I spent a lot of years living in Illinois Congressional District 14, I'm not all that sad about Hastert losing Speaker of the House Role.
I'm also amused that Whitney definitely got the college vote. Seriously, in most counties he got about 6-8% of the vote but in Champaign County (U of I) he got 17%, in DeKalb (NIU), he got about 18% and in Jackson (SIU and my "county of birth") he got a whopping 25% of the vote.
I'm also amused that even though he's an incompetent git with an unpronouncable name, Rod Blagojevich won reelection. That's how 'democratic' my wonderful state is.

Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy birthday today. Seriously, it's one of my favorite things like today. =D
I dunno...today seemed kind of ordinary. LJ was down. I have a feeling a lot of people forgot or didn't care, though a lot of that might just be LJ going down for a good part of the day. Dagas got all her gifts and cards already, so no special mail for her. (She did get a Fredericks of Hollywood catalog to tease Muu with). The hot cocoa I had at borders was too rich that I didn't even feel like getting a cake, so I didn't. And with Muusu in his 'state of liminality', I didn't feel good about being too celebratory.
So....when Muu gets another job, I will relive my birthday again. There will be cake, and I will wheedle Muusu into getting one of the few pieces of jewelry I actually want, a necklace with my birthstone on it, (the other two pieces of jewelry being an engagement ring and a wedding ring). >.> And perhaps even flowers. Because no birthday is complete without flowers.
But a big thank you and hugs to everyone who wished me a happy birthday. You all made it not suck.

With the exception of last-year, the first days of November tend to suck, until I actually turn the next year older. A bunch of bad days and the like. Just tiny things.
And now...I have no clue why I'm not more upset this year. Because I think I have legitimate reason to be. Perhaps because it's a more long term thing, and so as far as I know things will be fine. It's just I'm going to be very, very nervous on my birthday and probably not going to be doing anything. Here's hoping things get resolved soon.
C'est la vie. It's not just a bad Sailor Moon pun.
